This documentary film aims to show clearly and experientially, from three different perspectives, the value of the Huichol (Wixaritari) people of western Mexico as a culture and as a community, and how they have benefitted other cultures. The importance of the Wixaritari is very high for the world at this time, when individualistic and materialistic values have brought about a deep lack of connection with and disrespect for our environment. This culture shows us ways to live in balance with nature through the humble recognition that we humans are only a small part of the whole of life and that we should act accordingly. As we witness their profound gratitude to life as shown in their long pilgrimages, which entail great sacrifice, we are able to recognize the purity inherent in them as a result of having lived in balance from the beginning of time.
